Workflow
OR has developed a suite of fully validated and real-world tested proprietary tools that fill the technological gap in shale environments. This technology enables a workflow designed to make use of large quantities of easily available and routinely collected early production data. This process and technology has the ability to analyze a huge number of wells to reduce reserves uncertainty dramatically compared to the use of traditional decline curve techniques. Drilling decisions can be guided by accurate forecasts and a true understanding of what is influencing well performance.
The first goal in OR’s Shale Workflow is to study as many shale wells as possible using ORKA: Limits, OR’s data management, diagnostics, and forecasting technology in a given study area. If more thorough analysis is required based on findings from the Limits output, detailed numerical modeling using OR’s Resolve technology is performed on selected significant wells.
